Last night Marcos and I tried to take photos of the lunar eclipse. We got the time wrong and didn’t get to see the eclipse. Instead, we found an area along highway A1A just north of the Pineda causeway in Melbourne, FL with several abandoned boats floating near the shore. We waded out to the [...]

Hitchhiker
I was driving home last night and noticed a dark spot on my windshield. At first, I thought it was bird poop, but upon closer inspection I realized it was this frog hitching a ride. When I got home I captured him and forced him to pose for me on a mirror. I then set [...]

No Trespassing
I took this photo in Williamsburg Brooklyn last weekend. I was in NYC for the weekend and hopped over to Williamsburg to enjoy fantastic scenery like this. —Paxton

Uhaul Trucks
I took this photo in 2004 in Chantilly, VA. The fog was rather heavy and the streets were wet. It made for some decent photos. I found that the photo looked better with this colorize thing going on. —Paxton

Spiny Orb-weaver
My neighbor Pam called to tell me that there was a spider in the back yard that I might like to photograph. I found this Spiny orb-weaver waiting in his web behind my condo. I accidentally had the iso cranked to 1600 so this one is a bit grainy. —Paxton

Tree in Fog
I took several photos of this tree in heavy fog. For some reason, this one stood out. That’s my friend Thomas taking a picture in the foreground. He suggested we visit the Fort Drum Marsh Conservation Area in Florida on this foggy day. Unrelated, I decided to post my photos less frequently. Posting a photo [...]

Vineyard
I took this photo in January 2007 at the Beringer Vineyards in St. Helena, CA. I didn’t actually like the original version of this photo. My friend Marcos suggested that I try it in black and white. I also cropped the photo and upped the contrast to enhance that dead feeling as the vines were [...]

Statue
I took this photo while visiting the British Museum in 2005. This isn’t actually at the museum, but merely on the way there. The color version of this photo didn’t do much for me. The black and white version is way better. —Paxton

Fuzzy Plant
Another photo from my recent San Jose trip. I’m not sure what type of plant this is. I cranked up the contrast and lowered the blacks on this one. —Paxton
